Phillips releases RCP640 Rugged Computing Platform
INDUSTRY, California (June 8, 2009) Phillips Aerospace has released the RCP640 ruggedized computer platform. Designed to military standards, the RCP640 is suitable for extreme temperature, shock, vibration and humidity conditions. The COTS EBX single-board computer and PC/104 expansion cards are conformal coated and mechanically stabilized. Custom heatsinks provide conduction cooling of the industrial temperature electronics. The light weight, notebook sized chassis has a footprint of 11" x 8.5" and is only two inches high.
The RCP640 is available with an Intel® Atom™, Core™ Duo or Core™ 2 Duo processor and up to 3GB of DDR2 DRAM. CompactFlash and all standard I/O interfaces are supported by the SBC. Use of PC/104+ cards allows for nearly unlimited I/O options. The team at Phillips Aerospace works with customers to understand and configure the RCP640 solution to be application ready and compliant. The RCP640 is delivered integrated and configured as a turn key solution. The RCP640 is ideal for flight hardware, ground mobile, UAV, UGV and UUV applications.
